Elise Gold Sewall is a contemporary realistic oil painter. Her interests are painting translucent imagery, reflection, and color.

After studying painting, Elise honed her ability to portray refracted light during her career as a fine jewelry designer in New York City where she painted the brilliance of precious stones and metals in her designs. Designing jewelry informed her painting. Twenty five years later Elise began devoting all of her time to her art.

After years of primarily painting portraits and landscapes she moved her concentration to still lives. Her work has been shown and been recognized in juried shows nationally and internationally.
