Brenda K. Robinson Exhibit | Black History Month

  • MARA Art Studio + Gallery 1421 5th St Suite A Sarasota, FL, 34236 United States (map)

To celebrate Black History Month we've invited Sarasota artist Brenda K. Robinson to exhibit some of her art pieces at the gallery. Each of her paintings has a story to tell and listening to Brenda speak from her soul is quite an experience.
Stop by the gallery to see her work in person.

"My paintings always start with marks on the canvas,
words which can be blessings, prayers, intentions,
things that I cannot explain with words.
I show with paint and texture.

I am constantly searching for meaning in life as I create.
I want to listen to the space between the notes and the pause between the breaths.
I want to tell the stories that bind us together,
the beauty of our likeness and not the mask we hide behind.
I want to paint the stories that make our hearts sing and make our tears taste of faith as we realize that we are all connected with common threads of DNA."
