During this period, when not enhancing the visages of the famous, Steph channeled her creative energies into painting, developing a profound connection with canvas.

In 2004, after a highly successful career in London and Europe, Steph relocated to Sarasota, Florida, dedicating herself primarily to painting and teaching. As a predominantly self-taught artist, she embraces intuition as her guide in the creative process. Her technique is characterized by an evolutionary layering process—building up and sanding down surfaces to allow the history of the work to emerge.
